Richard Wolfenden-Brown, The Plough Arts Centre

Dave Clinch has been a strong advocate and enthusiastic supporter of The Plough Arts Centre for many years. At a time when the arts centre was struggling to survive Dave initiated a series of ‘Speed The Plough’ fundraising folk events, which collectively raised thousands of pounds to aid our survival. These events generated enormous interest and also helped to ‘discover’ new talent with artists going on to perform elsewhere across the country.

Dave is a talented singer, musician and activist with the knowledge, sensitivity and ability to inspire others and to make connections with people from other cultures and situations across the world.

I would have no hesitation in endorsing his new project and encouraging your participation. I am sure your students would find his input inspirational.

Paul Swailes, Ilfracombe Arts College

What has always shone through is his commitment to the values of equality and inclusion.  He develops good relationships and always works to challenge and engage students.

Dave is one of those individuals who adds an extra dimension to young people’s experiences, he leads by positive example and I would recommend him to anyone wishing to engage students in a range of often contentious topical issues through the medium of music and the arts.

Sandra Clement, West Down School

Through a chance meeting between Dave and myself he expressed an interest in working with primary school children and offered to perform during an Assembly. Of course I jumped at the chance! Little did we both know that on the agreed date the school would be in the middle of an Ofsted inspection! This did not faze Dave at all. He played and sang for the children and they were enthralled, as was the lead inspector. Dave's style is unique and refreshing, I would recommend him wholeheartedly.
